Domain Name Transfers

The process required to transfer a domain to Internet Intuitive varies depending on the type (eg co.uk or .com) of domain to be transfered.

UK Domains

UK domains are operated by Nominet - with registrations handled by Tag Holders. Internet Intuitive is a full Nominet Member in its own right, and not just a reseller.

To transfer a UK domain (.co.uk .org.uk .me.uk .ltd.uk or .plc.uk) to Internet Intuitive, please ask your existing tag holder to change the domain's tag to "ADB". Normally, there is no charge for this, but some "discount" registrars will charge a release fee to change the tag.

If you are unable to contact your tag holder (for example if they have ceased trading) or there are problems in changing the tag, then you can request Nominet to change the tag to "ADB" - Details of the transfer process can be found on the Nominet website - note: you will be charged £10.00 by Nominet if you use this mechanism.

Internet Intuitive do not make a charge for transferring a .UK domain - either in or out.

Global Top-Level Domains

The global TLDs (.com .net .org .name .info .biz) are operated by a number of ICANN accredited registrars. The process for transferring a gTLD domain depends on the registrar - please contact us for details.

Internet Intuitive will charge £12.50+vat to complete the transfer - but this includes a one year extension to the registration period.
